One of the most morphologically diverse species of Drosera and easily one of the most overhated, this species is found in a multitude of locations in the Cape of South Africa. An odd little plant with an even odder sounding name, "Baardskeerdersbos" means "beard shaver's forest" in Afrikaans, apparently after a species of solifuge that cuts hair for nest building. The plants themselves are rather small growing, and the individual I have consistently produces upright leaves with thin, small, and recurved laminas. The entire plant is also a reddish color, and grows almost in a pincushion shape. An interesting location that I don't see too often.
