The Agnata section of Pinguicula includes species such as agnata, gigantea, albida, and filifolia. Agnata in the wild grows on steep cliffs of calcareous rock that's often dry. While the holotype of Pinguicula agnata was collected in the state of Hidalgo on the slopes of Barranca de Toliman, there's very little literature on other forms of agnata. I'm not sure where Mesa Leon is, but this is the location provided by Czech nursery Best Carnivorous Plants. This location of Pinguicula has longer, lime green leaves that don't color up as much. The glands on this plant are extremely pronounced and makes the entire plant glitter. It's flowers are even a pale color that looks close to white. Relatively easy growing plant. Currently potted in a mix of peat, perlite, vermiculite, and sand. Will update this entry when the plant flowers.
